Re: [Quicklog: Louis/Peggy]
[When the gauntlet began to shrink and reform, Louis stiffened against the wall, taking in air sharply. This was all quite a lot for one evening, but at least all it did was turn into a rather attractive bracelet. He didn't quite relax when it was done, but he did ease when the thing didn't begin firing lasers or small missiles.]
What is it? [Just a question out loud. He was still disoriented - the strangest sensation, as if there was a part of him not quite attached to himself, free-floating elsewhere. The gauntlet seemed alien, somehow. It didn't remind him of the magic he'd run afoul of in Gotham, bloody and old. This was something else, something otherworldly and very much its own.
He looked toward the open door. When had that happened?] I believe so. [He pushed himself slowly to his feet, catching his lanky frame on the wall with one palm as he unfolded and straightened up. His back twinged, and he winced. Now he had a bum leg and a strained back.] Lovely. Shall we? [They needed to go. If the sounds outside were any indication, something had gone wrong out there when the gauntlet was removed from its mooring, and they did not need to be found by whoever searched the tracks for the source of the disturbance.]
