Re: Passages: Bruce B and Matt M
[Bruce was starting to lose his hope to be able to help, and his mood - fairly good at the beginning of the meeting - was steadily falling as he realized that without the high tech help of one Tony Stark, there wasn't a lot he could do. he could theorize at Matt all he wanted, but it wasn't going to do a thing to actually help the man. And whatever medical help he might have thought to offer, someone else had already provided.
And yet he tried to answer the questions, to ease the confusion on Matt's face.] I'm more a... scholar. No one trained me in medicine, just in learning about other things. If you study long enough, in the right way, you're awarded with the title of Doctor. [He sighed, hand coming up to press fingers and thumb under the ridge of his brow.] I know it probably doesn't make sense.
You don't have to leave. You're not wasting anything. I'm not... [Doing anything. Not doing anything, not going anywhere. He was at a loss. And shook his head, the sound of too-long-between-haircuts curls rasping along the back of his collar.] I'm sorry. That I couldn't help more. If I'm ever... [His mouth twisted wry.] back in fate's good graces and with familiar equipment again, I might be able to help then. Or if you get hurt and you don't have someone else to help.
