I would never let my boss know half of my skills. It could be considered a liability if anything unfortunate were to happen on their network. A fair assessment is to assume not if I can get something done, but when. My boss would say I write impressive compression algorithms without realizing that it is a type of reverse cryptography. My boss would say I wrote some great security programs without realizing the pentest tools I made to challenge said security. Now that I think of it, my boss sounds like an idiot. I need to stop working for myself.
