Re: pete's house: gwen & peter
This council doesn't acknowledge your council, and it doesn't acknowledge your fallacious opinion on continual science, either. [Not that she even remembered what continual science was. Nope. She knew the comment had to stem from somewhere, but she was too distracted to actually remember. Blame it on that puppy-dog expression when she tried to visually mock his non-Cosmo reading. Yeah, do that, because it totally made it his fault that she couldn't think straight, when thinking straight was totally one of her best talents.] That's cheating. [His expression, not that she clarified what was cheating. He could follow her train of thought, or he could stay on the platform.... or something.

He was breathless, and she almost made a comment about his lung capacity again, but she managed to bite it back at the last moment. She swallowed down her nervousness, because there was something inexplicably nerve wracking about the way he was talking - not bad nerve wracking (nope!), but her belly churned around itself, and she was way too old for that reaction. But even that couldn't excuse the way she stared and stared, like this was something more wonderful than dinosaurs existing in a bubble universe behind a door, non-extinct and-
It was a good thing he kissed her again, because she was totally wordless. She kissed him back, her tongue testingly dragging along the inside of his lower lip, and then she pushed at him, because she was way too pinned, hands trapped between them, and wait, wait, wait. She'd just gotten out of a containment unit, and maybe he wasn't as sure as he thought he was.
It took her a few seconds to catch her breath.] I'll make you a deal.
