Re: pete's house: gwen & peter
Those guys are totally you. You can't disavow knowledge of yourself! [Totally teasing.] I can list all the negative traits possessed by potential versions of you, and you can work on not developing those traits. I'm super sure at least one of them snored. [Not that she'd ever spent enough time with any of them to actually know that, but it felt nice to tease him about stuff again. For a moment, she could almost pretend the whole dead-not-dead thing hadn't happened.
She wasn't particularly worried about him being a pushover. She knew he was easygoing about most things, but that he totally put his foot down about things he thought merited it.
He said she liked that she was her, and it was totally not related to anything that should make her blush, but she kind of did, and she was glad she got the opportunity to rattle off all the improvements she'd made to his webs. The timing was kind of perfect for de-blushing, and she poked at his tongue again, laughing as she did it.
But, right, kissing, and she was kind of not so hot at shutting up. He shifted closer, and her fingers slipped further beneath his shirt, to his back, which just made her go still for a second. Then, she flexed her fingertips, like the touch against his skin was some carefully conducted experiment in making out, and she was nervous energy and squirm beneath him.] You can try to shush me, but it doesn't mean I'll actually shush. [Yep, and she stopped kissing him twice to get that entire sentence out, with space between for words and breathing. [The smile against her lips totally did not make her melt. Nope. No melting, but then his fingers trailed along her back, while hers were still experimentally pressing Morse Code against his, and she huffed a breath against his lips.
He said he missed her, and she didn't think he was talking about the month between dying and returning. She thought he meant back home, and she worried a small bit that closure would end whatever he felt for her. She didn't break the kiss.] What did you miss most? [Which sounded completely cheesy in retrospect. She kissed him harder - diversionary tactic.]
