[Marta had no idea what was going on with other people - in her door, in the others. She barely knew what was going on with the people in the same house as hers, so she didn't know the sorts of things that Helena was attempting to deal with. Too wrapped up in the way her own life seemed so out of her grasp.
She didn't say anything else at first in reply to Helena, only opened the door a little more, angling so the dogs didn't completely mob the guest at the door. With that extra space, it was easy to see what Marta was wearing, some of the softness to her figure under the oversized shirt, and the pale skin of her face, accented not by eyeliner but by undereye bruises of exhaustion.] I'll get Tommy to drive. Come on in. [And she turned, back to the door and heading off to a different part of the house, leaving Helena with the curiously snuffling dogs.]
