quicklog: domino/jean at the mansion
[Domino didn't exactly have a history with Jean Grey. See, she admired the red head from afar and once and a while the two went on missions because that was how the X-Men always worked. But, Domino was Cable's lover and Cable was a messed up reminder of what Scott did when Jean wasn't around. It was easier to not sit in on that particular clusterfuck, so she mostly kept at a distance, thinking Jeannie was just the coolest, baddest chick this side of the X-Mansion.
She'd have to ask Jeannie what she thought about Laz, maybe even get her to meet him. Domino wrote a note down on her arm, right on the white skin with black marker that simply said "J+L = ???"
After making sure her little bro was happily hanging with some of the nuns at the chapel, Domino stopped at the liquor store and bought a bottle of wine. She got to the counter and said you know what, better make that two and wouldn't you know it? There was a two for one sale. Being lucky had it's perks, right? From there, she road her motorcycle all the way to the mansion, feeling the new- New York warm breeze on her face and she wondered how she was going to live here without a whole lot of mutants. How she was going to manage without the ability to call Cable and ask him for advice. Sure, his advice was usually the same (man up, woman!) but it was nice hearing his voice. Nice knowing that even if he was in the middle of saving the world from this, that or the other, he'd still pick up the phone.
Domino arrived at the mansion right at 21 minutes and walked up the steps with confident strides most new mutants wished they had. She wore a black tank top, black skinny jeans and big stupid boots that looked dirty as hell.] Jeannie! [She called and waved the two bottles of wine in the air like they'd summon the red head. The kids around looked at her like she was the crazy aunt coming over for dinner.]
