Re: Alley Pond Park, Queens: Cerise & Clem & Cris
[Clem, she'd finally come on over to talk to Homicide, a nod indicating they'd made it to the park first, her and her partner that was still on off at the food cart, and then the SVU detective walked on up, and Clem figured they could get this rolling. She didn't think anything about the man's name, not right off, and she took the hand offered and then did the same to Homicide.] Name's Clementine. Clementine Murphy. We were local, got here before patrol.
[Clem jerked a thumb toward the blanket, and she walked on over slow.] Seen enough of these charred to know some things. Not a whole lot, but she's female. Real young, based on the pelvic bones. I'd say early twenties. No wisdom teeth yet. She's got them all, her teeth, some good dental work. Hair was blonde and long. She's got some strands weren't burned off. She was naked when she caught flame. There's some slip of polyester from a few feet off, but no fabric stuck to these bones or what's left of her flesh. Some charred ID without a legible name, but she's from Bronx; can read that on the voting card. No signs of burning here, so she was dumped.
Wasn't a damn thing we could do by the time we got here, but we're fire, so we got sent. Based on burn pattern, I think the accelerant was poured at the groin, spread, and it smells like plain old lighter fluid to me. Her hands are clawed, mouth open. [She left it at that, figuring it told the story of this girl being charred alive real well.] Here's hoping your coroner proves my guessing wrong.
