Re: quicklog, fast & the furious: louis d, neil d, & cris m
[No one had told Louis about MK. It would be news to him to learn that both the women he had come to see were related to him. He only knew the name as a friend of his sister's, as the name of someone she knew that she'd frantically scribbled on the journals, screaming in print, begging for help.
No, he hadn't contacted Cris. He hadn't thought to, wrapped up in trying to pull from Sam where she was, where they needed to go, how bad the damage, how dire the circumstances. Surely he would have called him on the way, but he hadn't even made it out the door before the message had come through from Cris that the situation had utterly changed. Sam in the hospital was better than Sam on the street, but not by much. He knew how frightening it could be to have something channeled through you, but he felt an irrational sense of anger that something like this had happened again. He'd assume for the time being that MK had been ignorant to how much she could put them both in danger. Not knowing the facts, since Sam had been too upset to go into specifics, he could only hope.
He had a strong sense of deja vu standing in the hall outside Sam's room, looking at Cris as he turned and bared a bloody elbow, the imprint of cuts and indents on his skin. He wanted the answer to Neil's question as well, but that brought him up short.] Cris. You're bleeding. [A nurse was striding by and he stopped her with a hand on her arm. They were waiting for their sister to wake up, and Cris had fallen and struck his elbow. Could they have a clean bandage? The woman reacted kindly to a polite request by blue eyes and blonde curls, and assured Cris she'd come right back with one, swinging around the corner with her cart.
That done, Louis took a real look at Cris. He hadn't spoken to him since the conversation on he journals. Their talks seemed to continually end on sour notes, lately - this time about whether he had a right to invite his sister to Sam's house. That was at the bottom of his list of priorities, at the moment.] Thank you for making sure they got here, Cris. [He said nothing more, waiting for an answer to Neil's question.]
