Re: X-Mansion: A Phoenix, a Soldier, and a Witch (or two)
[Jean blinked a few times when Billy appeared before her, and her hands flung out instinctively to catch him if he tripped, wondering only briefly if he was really there or it was a figment of her imagination. She was used to a proper little bamf when teleportation happened. The sound of Billy's voice cemented his existence, but still echoed eerily in the oddly quiet expanse of her brain. Her fingers rubbed the bridge of her nose and the words tumbled quickly out of her mouth, rambling with idle thoughts more than any sort of certainty.]
I can't touch the door. I don't know if it is her keeping me out, or Phoenix. James went in without issue, but I couldn't follow. There was a greenhouse, I think? If that's what it was, it all looked decayed. There's nothing coming from Wanda's mind. I tried to see what was happening through James, but... I shouldn't go in there again. [There were questions she wanted to ask. Those could wait. His worry was comforting in an odd way to her. Jean felt that the situation could be bad. No one else seemed terribly concerned about Wanda. Billy understood. Her fear was justified and not simply Phoenix's paranoia.]
I don't know what's happening behind that door, but I don't think I can do anything to stop it.
