Re: jurassic world: steph/selina.
[As Selina dug through her pack, Stephanie did the same. A bright yellow belt emerged, and she clicked it around her hips, securing it before digging in to grab more. Batarangs tucked between her fingers (careful not to slice her own skin), and she pulled out her own thigh holsters, though her guns had no bullets.] Stun gun. [Said with a grin as she put the thing in place. They were the guns she had adopted when returning from war all those years ago, back when she relied on guns but didn't want Bruce to disapprove. Bats, after all, all hate the things, or at least they're supposed to. The Batarangs, meanwhile, had an array of different effects -- sticky goop, electro-shock, freezing. Things to at least slow these reptiles in their tracks. And, with Selina there, and with the smiles exchanged between the two of them, it felt a little better again. It felt like an adventure again. It felt like escape, and that was all she really wanted from this.]
I think these things might be a little better with hunting than zombies. [But, she laughed, and she nodded.] But the forest will give us a chance to hide, and we can figure out where the fuck to go from there, yeah? [She nudged the kitty cat.] Who said this wasn't going to be fun?
[Fuck it, it was gonna be fun. When Selina ran, she grabbed her taser gun out of the holster to have it at the ready, too, and then she bolted, splitting a little to the side to distract the flying dinosaurs and scramble them just enough to confuse. Snapping her neck back again and again, she went straight for the greenery ahead, keeping an eye both on Selina and the winged beasts overhead.
Fifty feet.
She had one following her and diving down.
Thirty feet.
Screech.
Twenty feet.
Stephanie turned her stun gun up and shot right at the gaping maw about to eat her whole. The screech went deafening, and she dropped the gun and ran as fast as her legs could take her into the brush of greenery beyond. Her arms flew out to push away wild plants and trees growing around this forest with no path. The sounds of the pteranodons died in the distance, and the only sound was the rustling of Stephanie running through. She didn't stop until the ferry landing was nowhere in sight. And then, she shouted:] Selina? [Head whipping back and forth.] Selina!
