hotel lobby: steph/selina.
[Stephanie, honestly, was more than a little excited to get out of Gotham, to go somewhere with Selina, to get the thrill back in her bones. Maybe they shouldn't be doing something life-threatening, but that was Gotham blood pumping through their veins. That was wanting to feel alive again. Sure, Steph wasn't 100% on where Selina was mentally and emotionally these days, but she could guess. Not just things going badly with Bruce, but things going badly in Gotham, too. Figured that they'd both start (or continue, in Steph's case) falling to pieces at the same time. At least they had company in their misery, or their loneliness, or their senses of being lost. Probably a combination of the three, honestly. But, this would help, and Stephanie hoped that this could patch up things with Selina after a bumpy road. Steph appreciated her as a friend, and honestly she really needed more people around. And she suspected the same was true for Selina.
The blonde bat arrived just a few minutes after the kitty cat, purple bags under her eyes and her own warm cup of coffee in her hand. She, too, had her own backpack of things slung across a shoulder, filled not just with waters and food, but with some practical gadgets that she nicked from the cave -- different batarangs, smoke bombs, her own utility belt -- among other things. She even dressed similar, gray shirt over jeans and black boots up her calves. Her blonde hair loose and long, and her contacts in instead of cumbersome glasses.
She wasn't really worried when she walked up to Selina, but maybe that was a little bit of her medications taking over. (Thank you, anti-anxiety meds. And sorry, Dr. Coleman.) She smiled easily, even if she looked tired and certainly was much thinner than the last time Selina had seen her when she first came back. The tank hung almost too loose and it was a miracle that her jeans still fit at all. Smile though and a nod as she closed the distance.] Oh thank god you got the gray memo. [A sip of her coffee. They had so much to talk about, but she didn't know where to start. Instead, she just asked:] Ready to get into some trouble? And by some I mean lots.
