Scott listened to her with growing horror mixed with numbness, especially when she got to the parts he couldn't fathom. No. No he wasn't going to hear it. He wasn't going to believe that part, or maybe she was right, and they could change this right here. Because of that he was going to ignore the possibility. Allison wasn't dead. He wouldn't let that happen to her. More and more pain filled his eyes when she explained, and the fact they stopped him at the end, it didn't necessarily make any of it better.
He nodded slowly after she was done and let out a breath he was holding. "Okay ... we'll talk more about ... whatever that was soon." He sent out the message to everyone and put a hand on her good shoulder. "I'm sorry he did that to you. We're going to figure it out." Scott was saying it tonelessly though, as if he didn't really believe it. And maybe he didn't, not yet. It was still too much of a shock. Now they just had to wait for the others to get there.
