It's not the same as knowing, deep down.
I guess I don't know how this makes you any safer, baiting him right out in the open, and using your kid as bait. If he's here, he bites. And your kid is on the hook. If he doesn't, either he's biding his time or he isn't out there, in which case, you don't know any better because he hasn't bitten right off. I know jumping at shadows isn't real fun. But being spooked by shadows is better than getting real tired of jumping and inviting the real spooks in to play.
