Re: wayne manor: destiny/steph
[There were other times he could have popped in on her since they've been talking, but this one was chosen with a deliberate care. She left the cookies out for him, she even asked where, it was practically an invitation. (Santa Claus got the same treatment, didn't he? In theory.) He's not always so careful - sometimes he can't be nearly as careful. And there will be a time in the future where he has to pop in on her in a way that she won't like - as most humans don't - but the choice won't be strictly his.
Appearing in a kitchen is far less an invasion of privacy than appearing in a bedroom - or a shower stall. He's trying.] A few people do. Don't tell anyone, or people are going to think they can bribe me for anything if they offer me something sweet. [It's nowhere near true, but he can tease her a little as he finishes off another cookie and starts on a new one. Good thing he doesn't have to look after his figure.] You need to be needled. [This he says with a nod of his head.] Otherwise you wiggle out and therapy wouldn't be nearly as beneficial.
[It takes him a minute to reach out and take the cup from her. It's warm in his hands and will only get warmer. He takes a sip, his lips quirk in what could be called a smile by his standards.] Something like that. Something that I can't take medications for. [There isn't even a touch of sadness about his lack of sight. If he had it now, it would only be overpowering and it would require him to give up something he doesn't want to be without.] And they're more for you than me.
