Re: wayne manor: destiny/steph
Of course you know. [There's a tease in her voice as she said it, something that wouldn't have happened a couple of months ago. Maybe her mind hasn't fully registered that he's just popped up in Bruce's kitchen, maybe given a little less distraction and cloudiness in her brain, she might have flipped out a little more at him popping in. At the invasion of privacy. His sister had certainly felt a brunt of that for many years (and while Stephanie felt guilt for many, many, many things, she still isn't sure how much guilt she feels towards that situation). But, she's okay right now, and that's either a testament to how her judgement is clouded or how she's begun to trust him. Probably, honestly, the latter.
Placing her cookie atop her mug, she reaches into the cabinets and grabs another mug for him. Another tease:] Who knew you had such a sweet tooth? [She falls silent when he asks his question for a moment, but he can hear her working on his cup.] Therapy is always hard. Dr. Coleman is great, but he needles me. A lot. He's always known exactly what question to ask and when to ask it. [At this point, she'd seen her doctor a couple of times since she promised to start seeing him. She doesn't mention the fact that he needles her in a way that's familiar, that reminds her of someone else, but she's sure Destiny knows that, too. Instead, she finishes off his coffee -- lots of sugar -- and hands it to him with a small smile. Leaning back against the counter, she grabs her own coffee and blows at it slightly before sipping.]
We talked about a lot, and we're working on ways for me to-- to move on. [Whatever that meant.] He's got me back on some of my medications. All fun, fun stuff. [Her voice goes pitchy for a second at the end, her smile going into a scowl as she tries not to linger on all the things that got her here. She clears her throat and shakes her head before pointing at his sunglasses. Her smile is back, warmer and poking fun.] Too sunny in here for you?
