[Whether or not it was his plan to linger or to pull back right away, she didn't complain when he stayed close. She was a little surprised too, that they somehow found a way past that initial encounter. Even though there were still things to say, and to circle back around to, it didn't feel like they were ignoring it now that they were trying to move on.
