Re: The Apartment: Eddie/Muerte
[Eddie looked at her wide-eyed, too. Ears perked up like she had crashed a glass against the floor. He wasn't afraid, only concerned and it made him immediately open up. His body had been stiff and turned away from her, so he shifted on the couch to look at her. He sat up straighter and loosening his arms so if she did want to come close, she'd know he'd welcome it.
He relaxed when her tone went softer and the color seemed to bleed back into his eyes. He was attentive again instead of reserved and ready to throw in the towel however she wanted him to. It was an unhealthy to submit like that (especially when he didn't fucking mean it) and it was something he needed to work on.] I know. I'm- I'm not going to do any heavy lifting until I know I have everything I need. And, look. I've started collecting items that should help. I might have also got you something. Want to see? [His voice lifted up, roguish and youthful.]
