[Penny smiled as she went about warming the chicken a bit in the oven, not to cook it, but to warm it. The smell from the waffle iron was starting to become stronger. Her Momma's batter recipe involved a secret concoction of the slightest bit of vanilla and honey so the sweetness was evident, but she wouldn't tell. The ingredients were long put away. Just the bowl of batter remained.
