Re: Quicklog: Tony, Steve and Bucky Take Flight, Episode 1
[When Tony's voice cropped up, Bucky began firing up the controls. This particular model wasn't unfamiliar to him, which had been a lucky stroke. He could have roughly flown another make and model, but on a Hydra-owned vessel, he even knew how to put the thing on autopilot.
He moved around the edge of the pilot's seat and out of the cockpit, toward the cot in the back where Tony was strapped in. He had left Steve to his vigil over Tony. It seemed like the man was going to wake up, but it was hard to say when. He wanted to keep an eye on the radar and satellite feeds, just in case there was Hydra air support waiting in the wings once they cleared DC. There was no sign of pursuit, however, so they were off to Philadelphia.
He tramped over to the cot, distinctive step heavier every other footfall. When he reached the pair of them, Steve smiling, Tony breathing, eyes open, he halted, peering down at them both, bemused.] Yes. [A flick of the eyes, which might have been irony.] Unless you include Hydra.
[No question, he had enjoyed himself out there. A turnpike full of tanks, helicopters and hundreds of Hydra agents? There was possibly nowhere he would rather be, even if it was in the jaws of the beast that wanted to swallow him again. He had left a considerable casualty list behind, and considering that, he was in pretty good shape. His left arm still didn't look like it was quite working right after being fried, and it twitched on occasion, but the rest of the injuries were scrapes and bruises. No bullets this time.]
