Re: Log: Evelyn/Mina
[Mina stood, transfixed, and her feet didn't cross the threshold until Evelyn grinned and tugged. There was still something of the trusting and inexpressive girl in Mina, and she went like a led doe, fearful but believing that the hand holding her was steady and kind. She had no true basis for this, but as with all sheltered things, she didn't realize she needed care.
She stepped out onto a dust mote, and it swirled around her booted heels. A hand was lowered, and she tugged up on her skirts to bare white-covered ankles with dust dancing about them. The carpet was odd, and the wallpaper was decrepit, but it all seemed so very real.
Without letting go of her companion, Mina touched her fingers to a crumbling wall, and it felt firm beneath her touch. She turned her face to look at Evelyn, and she smiled, brightening with wonderment.] Do show me the best part.
