Re: Log: Evelyn/Mina
[The scents were unfamiliar to Mina, who was soft roses and lilacs, hand-milled soaps and nothing so strong as was worn by the common rabble. London, Mina's London, wasn't a clean smelling place. The unwashed outnumbered those with the privilege of bathing. Even in elegant ballrooms, soap was not as common as it ought to be. But the woman at Mina's side smelled of home, and it wasn't any home Mina had ever known - or, if she had, she couldn't recall it.
Evelyn led, and Mina followed, the grip on the other woman's arm tightening with trepidation that did nothing to halt her step. Decided, she was not going to turn away from this adventure. As she'd told dearest Vanessa, this time she was the one to go ahead.]
Ready.
[And then the door opened, and Mina stood transfixed. It was impossible, what lay beyond, wasn't it?] It's real?
