What are you actually looking for? A job pays the bills, but are you looking for set hours, a benefits package, something that actually requires skills? If so, you're not applying for jobs you're overqualified for.
Re-write the resume. I'll put you in touch with a head-hunter who I've worked with in the past. Don't lead with the child and the motel: you show up, in a fresh pair of stockings, looking like you just left a Manhattan apartment. A good job is not immediate. You want shifts somewhere, I can get you on the rota for the reception desk at the front of Stark Enterprises. But what I can actually offer you isn't stability. The head-hunter could.
