[It happens in a matter of moments. Seconds that jolt together.
First, Pepper sees the containment unit, the new one. The one lit up like a Christmas tree, because a punishingly large amount of juice has been pushed into it in the expectation it'll be holding something desperate to get out.
Second, a tidal-wave of those in dark suits shatter the glass with something on so high a frequency, it barely registers as a whine in the ears.
Third, the lab's security system (the one built by a man petrified of a god, and aliens, and what lay beyond the world's limit) blows, in an effort to contain whatever destruction in the lab is in, from out.
A fireball, and an explosion that takes out the ceiling and what was left of the structure immediately above, is immediate and awful.]
