Re: Tanks and civilians - toward the rest stop
[She remembers the first time she saw him, big and green and bounding in her direction. Luckily, that was before any of that bed business, and some alien had been hellbent on killing her at the time, and seeing the Hulk? It had still left her breathless. Now? Well, he was still impressive, but she didn't fear him. Oh, he feared himself - well, Robert feared himself - but she didn't. She'd seen that skin go green while her claws were tangled in his hair. This? This was cake.
He shouts at the jet, and she smiles. She's managed to work the tank's external speaker, and she talks into it, figuring it's loud enough for him.] You're always so good to me.
[Of course, the jet doesn't listen, but it tries to blast him, which gives Selina enough time to herd her civilians toward the rest stop without needing to worry about the tank's offensive weapons. She knows he's working on that jet, those bikes, and she's got her little ducklings back in order by the time he walks up beside the slow-moving tank.]
Stop? [She looks over her shoulder.] But we've got more incoming. [They did, and about a block left until the rest stop. But it looks clearer out there and, with the exception of losing Carnage (and Jason's injuries), she thinks they might walk away from this one.] More smash. [See? She knows the language.]
