Re: Tanks and civilians - toward the rest stop
[She wasn't saying anything, and he just watched and waited as he walked next to the tank. What was she doing? Didn't she know there were people in front of her? He looked forward at those people, and then back at the tank.]
Stop.
[A single word, low and rumbling and loud enough to hear over the continuing noise of battle and chaos. It doesn't stop him from hearing the firing from above, the pockmarks of bullets making a line in the ground coming towards them. He shouts at the jet and puts a wide, thick hand over the opening in the tank's cupola, making sure the bullets don't make their way through to Kitty.
He turned to glare at the jet as it passed over, seeing the trailing bikes as he did. Only a few steps took him away from the tank and to those agents, picking up one, bike and all, and heaving it at the jet. He watched as it hit, a large enough projectile to do serious damage to the fighter, and turned away before everything crashed to the ground. one swat took out the other two bikes in a single motion, and then he felt free to return to walking next to the tank.]
