There's always a way.

People can hurt you after you're dead. They can bring you back. They can bring you back, and they can make you different. I don't think she'd want that, either. Carnage killed her, and she was powered. They could have tried to get something out of her body because she was unique. I'm going to choose to believe they really did put her in an incinerator, because if I don't, I'm going to go fucking insane.

They didn't know. They [...] Why would they bring her back? All they care about is Carnage. They want to use it. She's dead and we have to hope she's in an incinerator because it's better than being used in some kind of experiment. I don't want SHIELD to have it. I want it dead. I want it gone. Containing it didn't work. It got out, and we couldn't find it, and now Gwen's dead. She didn't want that, either.

If they could have, they would have. But it wouldn't even have taken that. They could have used her just as raw material. She was killed by Carnage, and now they have Carnage with them. They could have used her as an example of what it does to people, or tried to figure out how she got her powers in the first place and used that. If you don't think they knew she was powered, you're pretty trusting. If they didn't use her, it's because there was nothing left. Nothing they could use. Nothing that was worth it to them to keep.

No. She'd be pissed as hell.

[Finally, finally, a lengthy pause. But, nope. No slowing down, when you slow down you start thinking.]

We can't trust them to kill it, no matter what the threat level is. So we either find a way to take it from them, or we make their lives hell until they bring it to us. The second one makes more sense. We don't know where it is, and they'll have it under the kind of security that would shred anyone who goes in after it.

	And they will take you out with a smile on their faces and still have Carnage. You need a lot more information than just where they're keeping it, Jason. 	I had thought that part through already, but I appreciate you worrying. Get me the location, and we can move ahead. And, if there's a way, I'll need an open channel with SHIELD. Something that doesn't involve going on the 9 o' clock news unless I have to. If this is going to work, they need to be as at ease as possible. I want them to feel impenetrable.
