Re: All the world is a stage; adult
He understood hedonism. It was a religion for some, a yielding to the seduction of good food and wine, expense and comfort where there were no worries and there were no costs that would be paid for. It was xanadu, as fulfilling as idols worshiped with the self-same satisfaction wrought from governing desire as the hedonists felt by their surrender to it. He was no lotus eater, although he carried the tokens that allowed him to pass amongst them and pleasure could be as bottomless as sentiment.
He was neither cipher nor man seeking substitution. The silky attention paid with the bite of his mouth to the shallow curve of her breast was not intended for another. He had a theater in the recesses of his imagination but the stage had gone unlit until her entrance. He expected no one else, and the scrape of her nails freed a lock of hair that fell into discord across the plane of rough cheek. Now was the limit of what he gave himself, and he expected nothing after the curtain fell into heavy folds and the house lights came up. Now was not dangerous.
The maddening distraction did not contain itself to the rigidity of flesh beneath cotton cladding despite his efforts. He had not the thighs of an athlete who tested himself to learn his limits, he knew physicality not to be his acme but the climb of her fingers would find substance enough to satisfy her. His lashes were unduly, unfairly thick and they drooped over the black blot of pupils.
He understood direction. He knew the breathy gasp and the vitus-dance as she bucked against soft velvet to be wordless guidance. Scholar's fingers lipped beneath the girlish lace and stroked one long sweep against damp heat as he bit against her breast.
And then he laughed, smoky amusement in a gust of air against her breast and watched the nipple peak with pleasure. "Do I do what? Fuck with impunity?" The cant of his mouth indicated self-satisfaction, even as his eyes squeezed shut as her fingers roved higher still and his throat worked. "Yes, cherie. This is me."
