Re: Vanessa I/Victor F
I have seen death in extremely close quarters. I have spent my entire adult life studying death. In the time that we have known one another, I have autopsied the scientific marvels that you and Mr. Murray brought to my attention, those that tread the glossy web between life and death. From my immediate inspection, Miss Murray has a resemblance to neither.
There is a loveliness in death, a contented solitude. Miss Murray, while in solemn peace, and perfectly lovely in her own right, did not remind me of the dead. She was also no monster, nothing like the starved, stricken creature once kept in the darkest part of your house.
I conducted no medical experiments, of course. It did not seem the place for that sort of event. I still expect to, there is no way for me to form a proper scientific hypothesis without one. There is no way for her to be living, and yet here she stood. If she were one of the creatures, she is unlike any I've dissected before.
She did not eat any of the guests, which I suppose can be a mark in her favor. Other than that, I remain undecided.
