[The hotel wasn't much to look at; water-stained ceilings, walls gone yellow from years of smokers, and carpeting that had seen better days, worn down to just threads in places. But he hadn't picked the place for the atmosphere. No, he picked it because he could pay in cash and they didn't ask questions.
Night had set some hours ago, the hallway dark as he made his way back to his room on the second floor. Shoulders were hunched up to his ears, defensive, dark hair curling around his ears and several weeks of bear growth making him nearly indistinguishable from his time in the Marvel door. This was a big change from polished marble, stainless steel, and black leather, but truth be told, he didn't miss it. The dirt and the grime, this was where a person like him belonged.
Liam shoved a hand in his pocket to find the key to his room, fumbling through gum wrappers and the myriad of things that seemed to accumulate when you didn't carry a backpack to shove things in. He was distracted, a bad place to be in in a city like this.]
