Re: Marvel, training: Flash, Gwen, Peter
[Gwen knew Flash had been weird since that night on the roof. She knew he was angry at her for not telling him about the powers, and she knew he wasn't okay after his injury. She knew, too, that he was scared of what was going to happen when she died, and she couldn't be angry at him for something she was (inadvertently) putting him through. If Peter hadn't been there, she would've totally called Flash on his obvious displeasure, but she kind of didn't think that was the best fight to have in front of Peter. It was private in a weird way, and so she just didn't argue, and she watched as Flash turned into Venom.
She'd spent a lot of time around Venom, and she wasn't scared. Potentially, her sense of self-preservation was severely diminished, but she also knew that Flash and Venom worked together, and Venom wouldn't hurt her because of Flash. She wasn't aware, until that moment, that Peter had never seen Venom in action, and she could totally read the bug's body language as he stood beside her. If he thought Venom was scary, then encountering Carnage was going to be really jarring - she almost wished he wouldn't have to.
She listened to Peter's instruction, but she was calculating Venom's slingshot trajectory all the while, which maybe wasn't what she was supposed to be doing.]
NE corner! [She finally called out as Peter took off, after doing the math for angles and the like, and then she looked at the top of the warehouse, taking into consideration ducts in and gaps in the metal overlay. Calculations made (and maybe she'd wasted a few vital seconds there that Peter hadn't), she slung up to the roof (no grace whatsoever), and she balanced on the naked beams carefully (super carefully) and looked down, searching.]
