Re: Cell: Beau & Ford
[The lack of resistance was good, Beau decided, and who didn't want to go out and spend some time in the rain lately? It had been warm, not overly so, but enough that clothes stuck and people started to stink. And then there was the grin and Beau had to grin right back at him, waiting long enough for Ford to join him before he led the way from their little cell to the door that led outside to the courtyard and the blessed, cleansing, cool rain.
It was coming down steadily, that rain, enough to drench you through in just a handful of minutes. Beau could remember running from this sort of rain in the past, a book or an umbrella, or anything he could grab, held over his head to try and protect him from getting wet. But now? Now he invited it.
He didn't wait for Ford before he stepped out into it, tilting his head back into the shower, the grin softening into something warmer, eyes closed as he stretched his arms out to either side almost as though embracing it. It felt good, like maybe things weren't as horrible as they seemed to be with dead things, dead people roaming all over.
His hair was darkened with the rain, pushed back from his face, and it was then that he looked over towards Ford to see what he was doing, rain dripping into his gaze that he blinked away.]
