Shane sounds like he's not very nice. I know you're going to defend him because you're sweet, but none of that sounds very nice to me. Is he going to be there? If you like Graham, then it might be worth considering talking to him about Shane and letting him know you need some firm expectations, so you're on equal footing with Shane in the house. I wouldn't give up just because Shane's mean, not if you want to be there. But if you like Graham, and if he likes you, then it might be worth it to talk about it.
But you're right about Jack being honest and upfront. I don't know where he's living. All I know is he has some job carrying boxes that he doesn't like at all.
