Re: Egyptian: Selina & Robert
[She chuckled as she watched his reaction. It wasn't deliberately a test, but maybe it came across as one. Alright, maybe it was a test. She was all over the place lately, happy, sad, angry, too much adrenaline in her veins. She wasn't sure what she was; it wasn't new. She'd been feeling that for years, but this time it seemed the Bat was truly gone. Gotham was becoming more mob infested by the day, and she knew Eddie had been gone more often than not. She didn't blame him for that; she knew things with Stephanie were hard, and without Bruce? Well, without Bruce why stay? But it meant Gotham was turning into the feral thing she'd grown up with, and she wasn't ready for that. She wasn't ready to be alone after long-awaited declarations of love either. She blamed her silly little wish for that.
But here she was. A Falcone, and what had started as a con was starting to feel like her real life. She had a flair for this, and she had no one to nudge her back onto the path of not being a rogue.
So, here they were, and she chuckled, slow and warm, as she wandered over to the small bar at the edge of the room. She poured herself a whiskey, and she lifted the bottle in the universal gesture for do you want some?]
Who said I want to go back to that? [She glanced at the door when she asked, and she waited for his response about the drink.] Do you ever want to go back and change it? [Random? Not likely.]
