[Barbara couldn't help snooping around the manor before she left. The place was a lot more sad than she remembered and that was saying something. There was this weird, empty energy hanging over it like a shroud and she couldn't blame Stephanie for leaving. That said, something about the older bat didn't rub her the right way. It wasn't that Barbara thought she didn't have good intentions, she just thought something was wrong. Somehow, the way she talked and behaved reminded Barbara of when she was recovering in her wheelchair. But, instead of anger there, she sensed sadness. Regret.
Maybe that was just part of getting older.
So, Barbara wasn't really planning on drinking. She found it disrespectful to do in the Batgirl outfit anyway and if there was something up with Stephanie, Babs would have to react and not accidentally get her own butt in trouble for drinkin and batting. She'd go and talk, try to understand what the heck was going on with Stephanie and then get back to the manor to work on security and check to see if there were anymore surprise pets around.
Now with a plan and plenty of snooping, Barbara cycled off to the address Stephanie gave her. Once there, Barbara hid the cycle with a tarp to keep it from getting jacked (old bat trick) and climbed up the fireescape to where Stephanie's apartment was.
She knocked three times on the window and then waved. Her new suit was different from anything any of the Batgirls had worn and so, so youthful.]
