Re: Bar Log: Penny and Cris
Penny wanted a couple more. But she'd wait until she got home at this point. She kept her eyes trained on her friend, her closest friend, and listened. She heard his words, and she watched as he moved and heard his tone of voice. He had been busy, and while there wasn't a damn thing she could do about it she was feeling bad for not being around at all. And now here they were.
She was real glad someone had called the cops, because she didn't doubt that he would have killed the guy. It didn't stop her from wondering who the hell it was, and why he was there, because no he shouldn't have been there doing any of that. Not that Cris should have beat him into the ground quite so severely but the kid was involved and that meant something to both of the people sitting at that table. Regardless of how bad of a decision it might have been. Good thing she didn't call the lawyer from the TV.
"Honey, you know what the best thing about everything fallin' completely to shit is, and remember I say this as something of an expert on the subject myself... It's that you aren't running around trying to catch shit falling from the sky anymore. You get to start picking it back up again. For a while we're gonna be throwing it at the wall and seeing what sticks, but we'll figure it out. We will, just ... no more life decisions from you unless I'm around to talk you out of them. We're gonna pick a place to start and go from there."
