Re: Gotham: Zatanna, Louis, Eddie
Eddie turned at the grand Zatanna entrance and damn it all if he wasn't having a good time. The fire in her voice was electric, the dramatic pose was silhouetted beauty. He returned with an icy, "You're wrong, Zatanna. I know you won't listen, but you're wrong. This power can be used to save Gotham, to bring stability. Have you seen the way this city has started to eat itself?" The chill of his voice was real, no acting required. He loved Gotham, he loved his city, but lately he had no idea how to save it. Some nights, he couldn't even recognize it. He wanted to save it, so he channeled that desire into an excuse for power. An almost mad greed for something more.
Eddie turned to the demon. "She'll change her mind once she sees what we can accomplish together. We'll change everything so no one can hurt the things I love ever again." His voice shook, heat escaping his layer of ice in jagged steam. There was something Arkham in him still and it was a little frightening how easy it was for him to sink to that dark place. To become the Riddler everyone thought was long gone. Love, selfishness, pride, greed. He had it all rolled inside of him.
