Re: Gotham: Zatanna, Louis, Eddie
Eddie watched the body slowly rise and then closed his eyes. A moment past and then he took a breath that felt half full, as if his lungs didn't completely work right. He gasped again automatically and then slowed himself down. It's like scuba diving he told himself and opened his eyes. His vision was blurry and limbs stiff. He flexed his fingers, wiggled his toes and then turned to look at Zatanna. The corpse looked at her, too, dead eyes slowly but surely gaining that bright darkness that Eddie carried around in himself.
"Well, I'm not going to be performing karaoke anytime soon in this." Eddie said and his voice echoed from the corpse. He tried a few more vowelish sounds. EEEE and OOOHHHH and then a couple tongue twisters just to get a handle on the puppet. The corpse performed a little heel ball and step and shuffle ball change. "I'd try a Maxie Ford, but I don't want to push it." Eddie heard the echo and he was pleased with the progress made in such a short amount of time. Brush heel step backwards at a slow pace, gradually speeding it up until he was satisfied.
"Alright, I'm heading down there." Eddie took a deep breath, got himself into the right mindset and then went down the stairs to the basement where Louis was being held. He thought about power, about question marks and neon in the sky. He tapped into that rogue waiting in his cage, circling behind bars waiting to be let out again.
"So, I heard you have a little jewelry problem." Eddie said, all Riddler that even someone who knew Batman in passing could recognize. "No one is giving me a straight answer on what it can do." He said with fake innocence, walking towards Louis, though making sure not to get too close.
