Quicklog: Penny and Cris
[The brick duplex with two red front doors in Astoria, Queens was pretty decent all things considered. There was still a moving truck parked half on the sidewalk out front, and Penny's real old truck parked in the driveway on the right, made to look even older due to the brand new truck parked in the driveway on the left. The duplex had recently been renovated, so the inside was all shiny new hardwood, the old made to look new made to look old again.
Despite the place next door being plenty open for use for a certain human, Penny still had a full house. Carson was in Penny's room watching TV (read: sleeping) with baby Joy, and Teresa. Penny busied herself packing up the stuff she'd brought with her after she'd gotten off the phone with Cris, who she had decided was very much not good. But there wasn't too damn much to be done about it once he'd hung up the phone.
After a bit she put her coat on and went outside, braving the chill that was still in the air, and sat on the stoop. Waiting. Patiently might have been a slight overstatement. But waiting was accurate at the very least.]
