[She closed her eyes when his hands pushed her hair back, and maybe she leaned forward the slightest bit. But she opened her eyes quickly when he apologized, because her genius IQ didn't actually help her understand what he was apologizing for. And for a second, she thought he was going to kiss her. She might've let him, but the lips to her forehead were tender and caring in a way that she didn't associate with him - with them - at all.
