Re: Teen Wolf: Jackson & Lydia
[That grin made her amber eyes narrow. Why was he grinning? He wasn't supposed to be grinning. The little machinating wheels of her mind began to turn. Had he gotten smarter while he was away? Could he tell it was a ruse? No, of course not. That was just silly! He just liked it when she played hard to get. He always had. It was just like Lacrosse, in a way. He liked a worthy opponent. She'd always made herself into that for him. She'd made herself into lots of things for him, twisted herself around for everyone.
She didn't want to think about that just then.
She humph'ed when he said that of course he was coming, the sound entitled and as if she hadn't expected any less.
She really hadn't expected any less. Of course he was coming. He wasn't going to walk home. But she could make it all about her, and that humph did just that.]
We're friends. We parted as friends, didn't we? [She didn't look over as she asked the question. They had. She knew it. He knew it. But it was the kind of peace made when someone was going to be gone ~forever~. And now he was here, back, and she thought maybe it voided their little parting.
She refrained from touching her hand to her chest, where she'd always worn the key to his house on a chain, and she stopped at the driver's door of her car. Beep went the alarm, and the doors unlocked.] Get in.
