He rubbed at his eyes, however. Worry over Joey's heart and his sister's safety had worn him down. Perhaps it was time to rest. "I'll be out, soon," he said, firm as could be. "We'll have a proper visit, then. I can cook for you." His smile turned crooked. "I know it doesn't sound exotic, but right now, I can hardly imagine it."
