Re: jack c/clem m
Absolutely it does. She's half the age she was before, and she doesn't know me. Wouldn't it for you? I still care about her, just not romantically. I can't imagine being in love with someone who isn't old enough to drink.
Honestly, it's her not knowing me that's the most important thing. We're strangers. The woman I love, I've loved her for almost six years now. She knows me better than anyone. She doesn't take me too seriously, and she's never going to feel about me the way I do about her, but it's been so long that I don't mind it anymore. I feel lucky just to be her friend. This is a girl who's never met me before, and the second time I talked to her I lost my temper because she sold the store that the version of her I know cares about and kicked Jake and I out onto the street, probably without realizing it. She did it because she's young, and I'm sure she wasn't thinking. But that's a girl, someone I want to try to get to know better, and help. It's not the same feeling. She should find somebody her own age, if this turns out to be permanent.
