Re: Loft: Selina & Robert & Eddie
[Bruce was very aware of Eddie leaving the loft, even though the other man didn't say anything. His movements were quick, jerky, done as quickly and as economically as possible. Even if Bruce had been calm, he likely wouldn't have tried to stop someone in that condition.
Selina was another story altogether. He almost wished he knew the extent of her history with the previous version of him, because even drunk her level of disregard was worrying. What had he been doing with her? Even Tony, the man who would poke at him and then hours later fly into an inter-dimensional worm hole with a nuclear bomb seemed to have more self preservation in his presence than Selina did. It was its own sort of frustration, and he found himself letting out a frustrated grunt from the back of his throat, the sort he'd heard from Jarvis' recording just after the Other Guy had caught Tony after the Battle of New York. Realizing he was still tiptoeing along a line, he took a deep breath and lifted a hand to rub again at his eyes.
Before he was done, she was there again, out of her chair and yawning, putting a hand on his arm. He was still too on edge to allow it for long, and he wrapped fingers around her wrist.] Bed. To rest. [He started to guide her toward where he'd seen her bed, the collection of clothing strewn over things.] Change. Lay down. I'm getting you some water. [The tone was still rough, still little more than commands.]
