12:35 pm [walled_mods]	WALLED The Statute of Secrecy was put into place for a reason. And, for the most part, people followed the Statute. However, on November 19, 2002, a building in London collapsed, trapping over 100 people inside. Several witches and wizards in the area sprang into action, using magic in front of Muggles to save every Muggle trapped inside. The ramifications of their heroic action would be felt for years to come. After two years of peace talks, anti-magic rhetoric, witch hunt, and an attack on the Leaky Cauldron, the Muggle government declared war on witches and wizards. The war raged for fourteen months, ending in a bloodbath in Diagon Alley where 254 muggles, witches, and wizards were killed. During this time, two factions emerged within the magical community. The first, Statera, advocated for peace. Lead by the Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Statera attempted to negotiate peace with the Muggles. They denounced anyone who sought to harm Muggles. The second faction, Ferox, believed that witches and wizards should use their magic to defeat the Muggles. They encouraged their followers to fight back and to do anything it took to protect the magical world. These two factions argued constantly, leading to further unrest within the magical world. Following the attack on Diagon Alley, the leaders of the two factions met to discuss a plan. It was agreed upon to abandon Diagon Alley and all of London. Wizards and witches would retreat to Hogsmeade Village which had been experiencing a boom in growth since the end of the Second War. Both factions worked tirelessly to place protective charms around Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, the Forbidden Forest and an area of land surrounding it all. In January of 2005, both factions and their supporters moved into Hogsmeade. On January 20th, the village and surrounding areas were sealed off. Tensions were high between the factions. Many residents were still mourning the loss of their loved ones. With the two factions arguing on how to lead, it was only a matter of time before something exploded. The leader of Ferox, Pollux Rookwood, was murdered within the confines of Hogsmeade. Upon discovering the body, the two factions began to fight. Understanding that they could not go on this way, the two factions met and came up with a plan. A wall would be constructed in the village. A number of businesses would exist in the neutral section, but all residential areas and other businesses would be divided. Each faction could decide how to lead their own people and neither would interfere with the other. Walled will open on March 1st, mere days after the completion of the Wall. Blinking back into reality from what feels like a fog, you find yourself in the entrance lobby of what appears to be a once lavish hotel. Though its former grandeur is quite apparent, the surroundings are faded, and seem dated. The air is stale, and quiet. In one hand you notice a PDA that you don't believe belongs to you. It's curious how it ended up in your hand because you don't remember picking it up or even coming into the building. When you look at it, it takes your picture. In your other hand is a heavy, ornate calligraphy pen, it's tip black with fresh ink. On the registry desk is an open ledger, and on that ledger is a list of names- the last one, yours, written in your own handwriting. As you watch, beside your name a room number appears on the page. Looming on a high pillar beside the desk is a large, ornate clock with the words "Hotel Kairos" emblazoned just beneath it. The electronic device in your hand makes a pleasant noise; you've received a private message: Dear esteemed Guest, welcome to the Hotel Kairos. Please be advised the hotel undertakes regular excursions of one week duration, followed by a rest week for guests recuperation and relaxation. The next excursion will be beginning shortly, you are free to explore your new surroundings within the allotted time frame but the hotel takes no responsibility should you fail to return to the premises by the designated time. Meal service is not provided but please feel free to use the kitchen. You are are liberty to bring back sundries or desireables from your adventures. We suggest you keep your assigned PDA so as to electronically communicate with other guests; it will also act as your room key, and provide electronic access to other public areas of the hotel. The Templars, despising this new faction and the image they portrayed to the public, set out to stop the extremist group at all costs and protect the secrets kept by the supernatural. However, the extremists of Ordo were all to eager to show the world these supernatural monsters. Worldwide, vampires were forced to register with their governments or risk being hunted, legally. But their help comes with a price, and it seems as though Nevarra is doomed to fall, either to the Blight or to the ambitions of their more powerful neighbors. LOST CODICES is an original character roleplaying game set in the Dragon Age universe during the third Blight in the port city of Cumberland. No knowledge of the Dragon Age universe is needed. We offer your typical slice of life and an over-arching plot, complete with a healthy dose of politics and saving the world from the archdemon Toth. 10:25 pm [greylock]	GREYLOCK PREMISE RULES CHARACTERS WANTED APPLICATION TAKEN PBS DROPBOX CODES BY On August 14th, 2003, a blackout struck the North-Eastern area of the United States of America. Both Nomaj and Wizard-kind were affected by the incident. Magic became unstable. Simple spells could not be cast went attempted, accidental magic became rampant. The barriers that guarded the magical world from the Nomaj-world fell, revealing everything to people who did not, could not, or would not believe. Fights broke out, magical areas were invaded and explored. The MACUSA president had to approve an emergency Obliviation Blast to wipe the minds of all Nomaj’s. Two Obliviation Blasts were cast and barriers were restored by August 17th. Most Nomaj’s have forgotten about what they had seen. Most. President Gilroy St. Gilius has upped the security for the larger magical locations, including Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. All witches and wizards have received identification cards and contact with Nomaj’s has been restricted. The Anti-Nomaj campaign has begun once again. “Keep our world clean and safe!” greylock is a Harry Potter RPG centered around the lives of students at the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A new president has been inaugurated, and soon after a congressional bill acknowledges the existence of the supernatural. A number of supernatural beings, both mortal and immortal, are revealed. Some people are surprised by this revelation, and others less so. People find themselves struggling to adapt, and it leads to both internal and external conflicts. Acceptance of those from non-human descent varies by community, education, upbringing, and social class, but most certainly is not universal. In Philadelphia, one of the most populated cities in the US, the mayor institutes a further law that discrimination against supernaturals is illegal, the first city to offer a law of this sort. Responses swing from ignoring the law entirely, to those who simply see it as proper to treat everyone the same. The trades some, especially fae, brought with them during their lengthy existence benefited the city economy and new businesses were able to develop and expand - though some found themselves vandalized too. Supernaturals are being pulled out of the shadows. How will you react? Amidst the chaos of the DC universes and MARVEL universes, her powers have begun acting of their own accord, and in an attempt to locate the Box and open it once more, she has inadvertently pulled people from all over the world, gathering the in what appears to be Nanda Parbat. With no locals to confirm the city is even real, costumed heroes and villains alike are being pulled from their every day lives. In some cases their family and friends join them, but it remains to be seen if this is a blessing or a curse. While revealing their true location to be a room in the House of Mystery designed to look like Nanda Parbat, Pandora has recently shown herself, and her box is somewhere hidden in the room that functions very much like the real city. If it falls into the wrong hands the consequences can be devastating. It is now up to every random being drawn by her powers to work together to find a way back before it's too late and, hopefully, along the way recover the box before it can be used against all of Earth. Trust is a luxury none can afford. The Wizarding community of Great Britain remains resilient to the continued waves of attacks carried out by the Death Eaters. The Ministry of Magic is holding strong against insurrection by Lord Voldemort. The Order of the Phoenix is opposing these dark forces in secret. Life at Hogwarts remains relatively normal for its students, what with the war being waged outside of the safety provided by the castle walls. But for the children brought up during the latest Wizarding conflict, for those of whom war is a way of life, there is no real escape. Everybody has an opinion. Everybody is involved somehow. Everybody will have to pick a side, if they haven't done so already. How long will it be before the battle erupts within the halls of Hogwarts? Expect the unexpected.
