    Bellum Letale
    Apartments For Rent
VACANT. Accustomed to making her own way in the world, Jane Eyre has recently left her job as a governess to a judge’s family. She's found it extremely difficult to find a new position, however, and she can't afford to move out of Bellum Letale, even though her former, hated employer, Edward Rochester, lives there. Though she lives on the lower floors, Jane's situation is becoming increasingly desperate, and she's almost ready to resort to desperate measures. She’s hoping that her old school friend, Rapunzel, can offer some useful advice before she has to resort to turning to her old employer for help.

VACANT. Baloo has loved animals since he started bringing strays home during preschool. Unfortunately, his mother was estranged from her family, and Baloo never had the money to go to school and study the way he would have liked. Having recently relocated to New York, he’s taken a low-paying job at Shere Khan’s zoo (though he does not know that the decrepit facility is a front for Shere Khan’s scientific research), and he’s trying to find his uncle (Wendy’s father), whom he has never met.

    VACANT. ADDITIONAL AVAILABLE TENANTS.

    Premise:
There is an apartment building in New York called 'Bellum Letale.' Most people ignore its auspicious name, though they would be advised to pay more attention to its meaning.

    It is a strange building.

Every man, woman and child in the building is a reincarnated fable, the stories told to human children for hundreds, sometimes thousands of years. Once very real, the fables began to fade as science and reason dispelled the probability of their existence. They have all been reborn in human forms, though their essence remains, waiting to be awakened at the right time, in the right place.

Now is the time - Bellum Letale is the place. As their lives connect and weave together, as they follow their petty desires and long-held grudges, they are, all of them, on the brink of disaster. Their Landlord knows their every move, and the building they live in seems to have an agenda of its own. People are tortured, people die, people plot behind each other's backs and sneak around and cheat. They love, they fight, they draw blood. This is not the fairy tale you remember being told.

The year is 1980 and Albus Dumbledore is dead. While the nation reels from the Headmaster's mysterious demise, propaganda and guerilla violence flourish. Having ridden the coattails of this aura of fear, Bartemius Crouch, Sr. has risen to power, widely supported and completely unchecked; slowly he has transformed the Ministry of Magic into an Orwellian regime. Now nothing but a Dark Lord with approval ratings, Crouch's fanatical pursuit of order tightens his choke hold on Britain. While innocent dissidents rot in Azkaban, Death Eaters roam free - untouchable due to their wealth and status, they feed back into the public's terror and ultimately maintain the Ministry's dictatorship. The only resistance to this madness is the Order of the Phoenix. Once an organization dedicated to spreading unfiltered knowledge and duelling only when necessary, under Alastor Moody's new leadership the Order is becoming progressively more militant, combating both Voldemort and their own government in an attempt to finally restore peace.

This is an AU Marauders-era RPG with an emphasis on plot, politics and war. It follows the characters on every side of the struggle - their failures, their successes, their stories and their endings as they fight and die to uphold their own ideals.

Wanted: JAMES POTTER, PETER PETTIGREW, Rita Skeeter, Frank Longbottom, Alice Longbottom, Rodolphus Lestrange, Bellatrix Lestrange, Walburga Black, Xenophilius Lovegood, Ted Tonks, Sybill Trelawney, plus many other Order Members, Death Eaters, Werewolves, and Ministry Loyalists!

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far far away---oh wait, you've heard this one before? That's no surprise. We all grew up with fairy tales. And these stories of dastardly witches and wizards, of beautiful princes and princesses and crafty fairy folk are just that---stories. But what if they're not? What if, in an actual kingdom that was further away than you could ever imagine to get to, there were people living out the tales you heard every night before bed? And what if their mothers and fathers told stories of far off lands much like our own world? They probably wouldn't believe that this place exists, just as we couldn't fathom that there's a world where Cinderella really met her Prince Charming, and true love's kiss could really wake a sleeping beauty from a deathlike sleep.

But that place does exist. In a world parallel to ours, in a place that no magic but what we cast in our dreams could get us to, the characters of these fairy tales are real; living and breathing but slowly fading away. Yes, that world is waning and all because the one thing that fuels it and keeps its residents alive is in short supply. That one thing is belief. And as our belief in the magical fades away, so will all that is magical.

But there is hope. There is a family who, through ancient magic, has always been able to travel to and communicate with the other world. No one has ever been able to explain why the two sons of Grimm were connected to the land of fairy tales and enchantment. But it has been this way since before Jacob and Wilhelm began recording the stories of things they knew and heard from far far away. In their descendants, Rolf and Edwin Grimm, who have inherited this magnificent ability, lays the only hope for the people of the fairy tale world.

Even Further Away is a social, thread based rp game set at a fictional Grimm Academy where the children of popular fairy tale characters have come to live because their world is dying. Descendants of the famous Brothers Grimm have found a way, through limited magic, to bring the next generation [ie Snow White's children etc] to our world in order to save them from theirs. Because the land of fairy tales is so different from our own, a boarding academy has been founded by the brothers so that these children can smoothly transition, and learn about the ways of our world in order to survive in it. The game will center around the students, their lives at the academy, and their interactions with each other all pushed along by some zany subplot.
