The Premise
Werewolf attacks have become the stuff of everyday life for much of Wizarding Britain, an ancient spell cast by Slytherin himself is bringing the dead back to life, and a certain Dark Lord seems intent on conquering the world again... Harry Potter, the Head of the Aurors, has his Department fighting back with around the clock patrols and Hit Wizards are busier than ever before, but even with extra security, is the world safe?
How long will the tension build? How much can those who saved the world take? How far can the wizarding world be pushed before it reaches its breaking point?

 | You open your eyes to darkness. The air smells stale and confined. Lifting a hand, you feel glass, smooth and curved. Instinctively, your heart beats faster. A tentative push and it rises away from you, swinging to the side. Light filters in through windows above. You blink, your eyes adjusting to the shadowed room as you try to remember what happened.
A thin layer of dust covers everything. There are no panes of glass in the windows. The virus. You remember now. They told you stasis was a precaution. Only a few weeks. A month, at best. Let them get the virus under control.
Standing beside your pod, legs shaking from disuse, you feel a sense of apprehension creeping over you. Your heart beats even faster now. A table nearby has a pile of scrolls on it and, with a sense of foreboding, you cross to find the one with your initials on it.

Waking Pandora is an AU, post-apocalyptic Harry Potter RPG based partially on the History Channel series Life after People. One hundred years after humanity is destroyed by a Muggle-made virus, people - magical and muggle - are waking up in the stasis pods that had been humanity's bid for survival. Armed with only a small pack of things, your wits, and limited initial magical ability, you must learn to not only survive but also rebuild the world, brick by brick, and child by child. Downfall RPG  | it started with shrieks...and then the world just... ended. Most of the population died, and the rest that didn't mutated. They became hideous, feral creatures that terrorize each other and us... or they became what's left of the human race.
That's us. We're the survivors of the Apocalypse. We've made our way so far, and we've settled into a relatively safe hotel to try and come to terms with life, our new powers and the challenges that keep coming up. There are others out there, though... people that are violently claiming territory, making our lives more terrifying than they already were. There was an attack, too. We lost a man. We're holding the attacker, but... what do we do with him?
Where do we go from here?
---We are currently seeking to fill 5 open spots in our game. The spots are first-come, first-serve. Placing a hold does not mean that you are guaranteed admission into the game. If your application is not up to par, we will not accept you. We are - however - some of the friendliest mods you will ever find, period. We're fun and willing to take any ideas into consideration. You will never be refused for your play-by choice, or rejected without explanation. This is an anti-clique atmosphere with mod and player driven plots. Come here and find a home you can really enjoy, with people that will always scene with you. If you cannot handle 7 days = 1 week of game time, please do not apply. We are on our 9th week, so you will be joining 9 days after the Apocalypse. In other words, you are not too late to join in on the action!The new characters will be coming into the game as a small group! |
