1:26a	Castalian Springs A boarding school RPG with a literary twist. RULES ₪ FAQ ₪ APPLICATION ₪ CASTALIAN SPRINGS ₪ LOWOOD ₪ MOD JOURNAL It's a game of unanswered questions. A game of intense interaction. It's quite often too charming for it's own good. It's a game of talented writers written by talented players. It's an original game of authors. The school of Lowood in the tiny town of Castalian Springs is an intensely private school hidden away near the West Coast. The students and staff of this school are unusual--each of them is the reincarnated soul of a long-dead author. But there's more to the game than that; for some time apparitions have been appearing in the Springs, in the form of characters, places, and items straight from the original stories of these authors. This RPG has a lively community of friendly players--and talented writers to boot. Play is most frequently done through IM, and there's plenty of room for plot development with literary apparitions. Terror everywhere … panic … confusion … that’s how it used to be."– Sirius Black The year is 1978. Across Europe the Wizarding Community lives in fear. Voldemort and his followers are on the rise, leaving behind a reign of terror in their wake. As Voldemort’s supporters increase and more Wizards are murdered or go missing, Wizards and Witches begin to grow even more uneasy and terrified, and an increasing number choose to fall prey to his Empire, out of fear for their lives, unwilling to stand up and fight. Despite the increasing danger to their loves, a small group of vigilante Wizards, led by Albus Dumbledore, has begun a rebellion, daring to do what the Ministry will not; fight. The Order of the Phoenix is slowly forming into a force to be reckoned with, a threat to not only Voldemort, but the Ministry itself. Change is on the brink for the students of Hogwarts. No longer will they be safe behind the confines of the castle, unaware to the real dangers of the world. They will soon be forced to make their own loyalties known; a decision that will affect not only the rest of their lives, but the entire Wizarding World. Choices have already been made for those just out of Hogwarts. They have picked their sides and now they must live with the decisions they have made. Amongst all of this darkness, the Order is the light needed to give the Wizarding World the power to take on Voldemort’s forces. As both sides fight to gain support, one question still lies: which side will you choose? Since February 1, 2009, Darkness Rising has been an active, friendly, and canon compliant Marauders Era RPG taking place in 1978 featuring talented, amazing writers. 9:36a	Open the Marauder's Map The year is 1977 and things are not easy. Outside of the castle walls, Lord Voldemort is building an army and even recruiting those within the school. Inside the castle walls, students are having to deal with exams, relationships and typical teenage concerns while also worrying about their families and wondering who to trust. People in school and out of school are having to take sides and wonder if they're doing the right thing for themselves or their families. Who will come out on top? Tolkien Halloween, 1981, the Dark Lord Voldemort fell at the hands of one-year old Harry Potter, bringing an end to a decade long reign of terror, to the relief of the entire Wizarding World. Death Eaters were imprisoned, wounds healed, and the Wizarding World spent the next decade healing from the pain of the first war. Yet, Voldemort was not truly defeated that night. He will rise once more, bringing upon another vicious war upon the Wizarding World. Everyone knows the story of James and Lily Potter and the story of their son, Harry, but until now, the story of what happened in between has been unknown. It is 1990, the year before Harry Potter will discover he is a Wizard. Professor Quirrell is off to Albania where he will become a vessel for the weakened Dark Lord, Charlie Weasley and his friends are in their seventh-year at Hogwarts, learning all about love, life, and Quidditch, and the foundation for the future is being paved. Everyone stands at a crossroads, the road behind them broken and wilting. The road ahead holds a mystery. Which paths in life will they chose? Who will they become?
