1:01a	ALTERNATE UNIVERSE HARRY POTTER RPG WE CAN WATCH THE WORLD DEVOURED   Taken • Available • Rules • Application sickleshire | sickleshire_ooc | sickleshire_owl Mods: sickleshiremod   WANTED Sirius Black, Lucius Malfoy, Peter Pettigrew, Augustus Rookwood, Severus Snape, and many many more.   PREMISE 1979 A prophecy is foretold: The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches...Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies...And the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not.... 1981 Lord Voldemort attempted to attack Godric's Hollow to prevent the prophecy from being fulfilled; but, when the Order was tipped off about his plan, they were able to warn the Potters before Lord Voldemort could get to them. Instead, Lord Voldemort found himself face to face with Albus Dumbledore when he arrived at the village. Lord Voldemort, refusing to lose, lashed out with a violent curse that severely wounded both himself and Dumbledore. But when the attack did not kill the older wizard, the weakened Dark Lord ordered a mysterious lurker to finish off Dumbledore. With Albus Dumbledore gone, the Wizarding World waited with baited breath for Lord Voldemort to rise to power. Months passed and there was no sign of the Dark Lord's return. Rumors of his death spread like a wildfire and many attempted to gain back what they had lost to fear. Only the Order of the Phoenix remained suspicious and vigilant. 1983 Many have started to regain the lost normalcy in their lives. Nevertheless, unbeknownst to the peace-seeking Wizarding World, a devious plot has been set into motion; one that will tear down the foundation of Wizardry and bring about the second war. Every week, news comes of more deaths, more disappearances, more torturing … The Ministry of Magic's in disarray, they don't know what to do, they're trying to keep everything hidden from the Muggles, but meanwhile, Muggles are dying too. Terror everywhere … panic … confusion …" Across Europe the Wizarding Community lies in fear. Voldemort and his followers are on the rise, leaving behind a reign of terror in their wake. As his numbers increase, Wizards begins to grow more uneasy, increasingly choosing to fall prey to his Empire, out of fear, unwilling to stand up and fight. In spite of the increasing danger, a small group of vigilante Wizards have begun a rebellion, daring to do what the Ministry fears to do; fight. The Order of the Phoenix is slowly growing into a force to be reckoned with, threatening not only Voldemort, but the Ministry itself. Change is on the brink for the students of Hogwarts. No longer will they be safe behind the confines of the castle, unaware to the real dangers of the world. They will soon be forced to make their own loyalties known; a decision that will affect not only the rest of their lives, but the entire Wizarding World. Amongst the darkness, these students are potentially the light needed to give the Order the man power to take on Voldemort’s forces. As both sides fight to gain support, one question lies: which side do you choose? Darkness Rising is a canon compliant Marauders Era RPG taking place in 1978. Game opened February 1, 2009. However, all is not safe as the leader of the band of thieves that has been terrorizing Diagon Alley for much of the month of April makes his final, desperate move after his associates have all been imprisoned. Opening May 14th: An exciting new dance club, Number 9 will be situated on Diagon Alley between Quality Quidditch Supplies and Owain's Grocers. Owned and operated by Krystal Kartwright, Number 9 plans to celebrate their Grand Opening with a little something extra. For one night only drinks will be free of charge, just pay a low cover charge and the rest is covered. Weird Sisters to perform! Plus much more planned for the month of May, including weekly challenge threads designed to amp up character activity and provide fun, interesting mini-plots to build the game. Game Background It's 2003 and the Wizarding World has come a long way since the Final Battle. Death Eaters have been tried and dealt with fairly under the watchful eye of the new Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt and a reformed Wizengamot. Diagon Alley and Hogwarts have been rebuilt. Slowly the magical community has rebuilt and healed from the destruction of Voldemort's reign. Most characters make their home within Diagon Alley as new flats and residences have opened their doors. Much like real life the characters must react to current events as well as manage their personal relationships. Our hope is that through these small, short-lived plots players will take the opportunity to develop their characters and relationships with other players. We also encourage small group plots, such as book clubs, bowling leagues and writer's circles among many others. Charing Cross has a small group of dedicated, talented creative writers who are hopeful for new friends. We're looking for equally dedicated writers who want to experience a slightly different RPG experience. The mods are friendly and easy-going and encourage player input. We're looking for players who bring something slightly different to the table as well, with fresh, exciting characters. There are plenty of interactive experiences just waiting to happen, so give us a chance and we think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Future Plot Don't worry -- when the current plot ends the game won't stop! The mods are busy developing the next bit of action and whatever it is -- We promise it will be EPIC! Previous plots have included gender swaps, masquerade balls and karaoke nights. Welcome to Salem Academy where the school bullies can give you swirlies, stick you in your locker, or even hex you blind. Where your professors can be drilling you in studies one moment and turning into a wolf the next. 5:24p	Connotation: An AU, Post-Hogwarts Marauders Era RPG MODS ⋅ RPG ⋅ OOC Premise ⋅ Available ⋅ Rules ⋅ Character Directory Labor strikes have paralyzed the British economy and the recently fought wars are fresh on muggles' minds. The disappearance of certain files from their government doesn't help to ease tensions. Wizards, meanwhile, have some idea of what those files contain - information about the wizarding world - and are on edge believing that any day their presence will be revealed to muggles. This leads many wizards to look to the most unlikely people as a sign of hope in uncertain times: Death Eaters. ROLES GOING FAST. Very few Order members left: Frank Longbottom, Emmeline Vance, Alastor Moody, Severus Snape, Mundungus Fletcher, Elphias Doge, Dedalus Diggle, and Aberforth Dumbledore.
