Late nights at the precinct were becoming more and more frequent. While general crime in the city had been at a general decline (which many attributed to the new hunt for Gotham's masked vigilante), it was only a matter of time before someone or something struck again. Arkham was growing crowded and the mob still desperately clutched to power. The news that they had joined forces was just one more stab at the hard work that the GCPD had put into wiping them out.
The door opened after a soft knock and Ramirez stood with a cupholder full of coffee. "I got your drink, Commissioner."
As the older man went to retrieve his drink, a flutter of black fabric appeared in the window and hid in the shadows near the ever growing stacks of boxes. "It's been a while, Jim." Batman's deep growl sounded once the door to the office had been closed.
